Seachtain na Gaeilge Outside Broadcast

In conjunction with Athlone Community College, Athlone Community Radio will host a bilingual outside broadcast at Starbucks in Athlone Towncentre, featuring over 50 students. The teens will tell stories and recite poetry in Irish, and the musical students will play traditional Irish songs on a variety of instruments including guitar, tin whistle and keyboard. They will be interviewed about what the Irish language means to them in our modern world, and the importance of keeping our language alive.
