Are you looking to use more Gaeilge in your life? If so, then you should have ‘An Chaint’. It can be with a friend, colleague or family member.

An Chaint

An Chaint’ is a campaign which aims to encourage people to think about the use of Irish in their daily lives.

If you are friendly with a person who speaks Gaeilge but who you usually talk with in English, you should have ‘An Chaint’:

– ‘You speak Irish don’t you?’
– ‘I do.’
– ‘I know we have never spoken it together before, but why don’t we start?’
– ‘Yeah, let’s give it a go.’

If you are learning Irish, have ‘An Chaint‘ to add to your cúpla focal:

– ‘You speak Gaeilge do you not?’
– ‘I do, only a small bit though.’
– ‘I’m learning myself and I’d love to add to my cúpla focal.’
– ‘Sure take a seat so, we’ll give it a try.’

And that is ‘An Chaint‘. Give it a go.
