Festivals with Irish #
Ireland plays host to many festivals throughout the year, many of which include celebrations of the Irish language, arts, music, and culture. They can be found all over the country and abroad too, with a wide variety of themes, offering something for everyone.
One of the largest annual Irish-language festivals is Oireachtas na Samhna in November, an annual celebration of the Irish language and culture. Irish can also be part of other larger festivals – there is an Irish-language camping area and stage at Electric Picnic.
Summer is a great time for other smaller festivals too, such as Féile na Gealaí or Liú Lúnasa. Many of these have events that are suitable for the whole family such as Irish-language clowns, drumming, dancing, workshops and more.
Remember that the programs for fetsivals that are still a few months away might not be available yet.
