Festivals with Irish #

Ireland plays host to many festivals throughout the year, many of which are a celebration of the Irish language, arts, music, and culture. They can be found all over the country and abroad too, with a wide variety of themes, offering something for everyone.

One of the largest annual Irish-language festivals is Oireachtas na Samhna in November, which is a celebration of the Irish language and culture. Other festivals focus more on music – there is even an Irish-language tent and stage at Electric Picnic.

Summer is a great time for other smaller festivals, such as Féile na Gealaí or Liú Lúnasa. Many of these are suitable for the whole family with various forms of entertainment provided, such as Irish-language clowns, drumming, dancing and many other workshops and shows for all ages.
