Feasta Archive

Feasta was a literary magazine founded by Conradh na Gaeilge through their publishing company, Clódhanna Teoranta, in 1948. It was published monthly until its final issue in May 2023.

Feasta aimed to explore life through the Irish language – covering literature, science, and politics. Its goals were wide-ranging: to support short story writing, to give a platform to Irish-language poets, to discover and encourage young writers, to guide secondary school students and university-level students toward writing in Irish, to remind Irish-language organizations of the value of the written word, to promote Irish-language writing workshops, and to build connections between Feasta and visual artists.
