Gaeltacht summer camps for young people started

Gaeltacht courses for teenagers began in the mid-1960s. Summer colleges such as Coláiste na bhFiann emerged, and since then, many other colleges have been established. The summer colleges give a boost to the Gaeltacht economy and increase young people’s interest in the Irish language.
