The first Seachtain na Gaeilge takes place

Seachtain na Gaeilge is now an international Irish-language festival — the biggest celebration of our native language and culture, held in Ireland and all around the world since 1902. The festival takes place every year from March 1st to 17th. It is the largest Irish-language festival in the world, reaching over one million people across five continents each year.
