Raidió na Gaeltachta launched

As a result of the Gaeltacht Civil Rights Movement, a radio station for the people of the Gaeltacht went on air on Easter Sunday 1972. At first, it was available only in the Gaeltacht areas for a few hours, but now it can be listened to seven days a week, 24 hours a day, across Ireland and worldwide online.
