Foras na Gaeilge established

Foras na Gaeilge was established on December 2, 1999, taking on the roles of Bord na Gaeilge (including the book distributor Áisíneacht Dáiliúchan Leabhar), the publisher An Gúm, and the terminology committee An Coiste Tosaíochta, all three of which had previously been state bodies of the Irish government.
