The first newspaper of Conradh na Gaeilge was An Claidheamh Soluis. It was a weekly publication, issued between 1899 and 1932. Among its editors were Patrick Pearse and Eoin MacNeill. The paper changed format regularly and was also published under other titles — Fáinne an Lae and Misneach.
